During the recent ITS convention in Rotterdam, the honourable Minister of Transport, Mrs Karla Peijs, was so kind to stress Dutch innovation in the Keynote speech.

"One interesting innovation is a Dutch invention that has won the Maritime Innovation Award. I’m talking about the carousel tug, which is fitted with a huge ring that runs around its superstructure. The towline is attached to that ring and can now move around freely. As a result, the carousel tug can maneuver much more easily. Equally important, the risk of capsizing is greatly reduced"
